The Jazz Video Cafe
About The Video
The documentary “Jazz On A Summer’s Day” brilliantly filmed by Bert Stern is a compelling visual tour of the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival, the America’s Cup and close-ups of the audience who were enjoying a full day of jazz, rock ‘n’ roll and gospel. A highlight of this film is that of Louis Armstrong’s set. He and the All Stars perform “Lazy River”, “Tiger Rag”, “Saints” and the classic duet with guest Jack Teagarden on “Rockin’ Chair”.
